Restylane injections are a quick, easy procedure with virtually zero effect on your daily routine afterward. The appointment usually lasts about an hour. After your consultation, the actual injection process only takes around 15-20 minutes. You probably won’t feel much discomfort, if any, because the injection needle is very small. Some of our patients say they feel a quick pinch.

The treatment is effective right away. Unlike other types of cosmetic procedures, you don’t have to wait several days to get results. • How long does Restylane last?

  It depends on your unique biology, which area you treated, and how much Restylane was injected. In most cases, your results will stay noticeable for about 6 months to a year. Restylane under eyes usually lasts up to 12 months. Treatments around the mouth usually wear off faster, however, since that area tends to move around the most. Restylane lip fillers usually last closer to 4-6 months.

• How long does Restylane Silk last?

  Like regular Restylane lip injections, the results of Restylane Silk typically last about 4-6 months, since your mouth tends to move so much more than the rest of your face. For longer-lasting effects, we recommend that you avoid smoking, using straws, and drinking out of bottles.

• How long does Restylane Lyft last?

  After Restylane cheeks show results for up to one year. In facial wrinkles and folds, which move more, your effects will usually last up to 6 months. Because your hands tend to flex regularly, too, treatments in that area will also last up to 6 months.

• How long do Restylane Refyne and Defyne last?

  Since they’re made for high-movement areas, these last longer around your nose and mouth than other Restylane formulas -- usually up to 12 months.

• How much is Restylane?

  The cost for Restylane treatment can vary based on:

  • How many treatment sessions you need
  • What amount of Restylane is used per session
  • Degree of correction needed based on your aesthetic goals

• Are there any Restylane side effects to know about?

  Since Restylane is made of a substance that’s naturally found in your skin, complications are very rare. Some side effects that have been reported include:

  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Redness
  • Bruising
  • Headaches
  • Itching at the injection site

  For Restylane under eyes side effects may be slightly more common.

• Restylane vs Juvederm -- are they different?

  Both are fillers that use hyaluronic acid to plump the skin. The main difference between Juvederm and Restylane is that Juvederm tends to spread out a little after it’s injected, while Restylane stays more in place.

  Although this creates some minor pros and cons between Juvederm vs Restylane, they usually make more of a difference to the treatment provider than they do for you as a patient. • Radiesse vs Restylane?

It’s firmer, which can make it better for areas that need more sculpting and support. Unlike Restylane, Radiesse cannot be reversed, however. It also cannot be used in the lips.
